Sorry, we are now closed for a little while…
As a result of the current Covid-19 outbreak, we’ve had to close for the time being. Thank you to everybody who has visited the pub since we reopened in July - we're so grateful for your support.
If you have booked a table with us the between 4th November and 1st December, there is no need to call us to let us know. We will automatically cancel your reservation.
We are in the process of contacting all guests who were planning to stay with us between the 4th November and 1st December to arrange a full refund or re-schedule their stay. Our team are currently handling very high numbers of enquiries so please bear with us – thank you for your patience and understanding.
Please keep in touch with us on Facebook and Instagram and we look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we can.
Stay safe and hope to see you in December.
The Mill on the Exe is a spectacular pub in a beautiful location. With tranquil waterside gardens next to Blackaller Weir and the Millstone footbridge, it's easy to forget that the pub is only a stone’s throw away from the bustle of Exeter city centre, the university and Exeter St David’s Railway Station.
The Mill on the Exe is a great place for drinking, eating, meeting and socialising. The pubs layout is flexible and can be cosy and casual or spacious and corporate.
Spread across two floors, we can accommodate different groups and events and in the summer our riverside terrace is a popular place for relaxing.
We offer a wide range of dishes from light snacks to substantial main courses. We use fresh, seasonal produce and change our specials menu daily.
Wherever possible, we source our ingredients from local farmers and fishermen. To make the most of the carefully selected produce, your food is cooked to order and may sometimes take a little longer to be served. We always do our best to serve you as quickly and efficiently as we can.View the Menu and Book a Table
